Slowing Down

It's Friday. The time that our brains give many of us the permission to incline our minds toward the weekend and the possibility of focussing on fun and relaxation. Time away from our 'work/careers' gives us the opportunity to allow ourselves to still...spend some time doing nothing. I understand that the behaviour of slowing down and simply being can be a major commitment - to ourselves. I love my work and can get addicted to my computer unless I closely monitor myself. There's always stuff I can do, particularly being in business for myself. Even on weekends.

How many of you reading this relate? What will support you to actually take the time for you not just on a weekend but every day? Even if it's just for five minutes of quality time on the deepest part of you to remind you of who you truly are.

Breathe deeply and slowly. Notice your body. And visit your core. I challenge you to do this today...on a Friday that might be busy for you as you complete a week at work....and take five minutes. Notice the impact. What's different in your day?

It's okay for me to rest and be. I am worthy. All is well.
